DC’s Social Media Week commences next Monday, February 18, and offers some excellent events, panels, workshops and social hours (most of which are free of charge).
We highly recommend the following session, featuring Colin Delany of e.politics:
Social Media for Advocacy: Lessons from 2012 & Your Ideas for 2013
The session will examine how social media affected advocacy programs in 2012, including notable ones like the SOPA/PIPA debate. Social Media professionals and amateur activists will discuss and learn the most effective uses of the latest communication technology trends.
When: Tuesday, February 19 (6 – 7 p.m.)
Where: The SMWWDC Hub at The Powerhouse in Georgetown (3255 Grace Street NW)
Space is limited; register here.
